About Akede
Neighbours, verified.
Akede is a neighbourhood communication platform designed to help neighbourhoods stay informed, connected, and engaged. Through trusted local updates, safety alerts, neighbourhood discussions, and digital advertising, Akede brings local information closer to the people who need it most.
The Story.
Akede (Yoruba for "town crier") is the verified neighbourhood network for Nigeria. We help residents of streets, estates and LGAs share safety alerts, find trusted local services and build community, without the noise of open social media.
Our mission
To empower African neighbourhoods with trusted local information, neighbourhood connection, and digital tools that make discovery and local commerce more accessible.
How we're different
Address-level verification, only real neighbours can join. Hyper-local feeds for your street, estate and LGA. Built and hosted in Nigeria, for Nigerians
Vision Statement
To become Africa's most trusted platform for neighborhood communication and local discovery.
Our values
Trust first
Every member is verified. Identity matters offline, it matters here too.
Local always
Your feed is your neighbourhood. No outrage cycles, no strangers shouting.
Safety together
When one neighbour sees something, the whole street knows in seconds.
